Fat Face Autumn-wear Part one

I wish I had invented blue jeans. They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity – all I hope for in my clothes.

Fat Face Callington Knitted Jacquard

Layering is becoming a styling essential; I am trying to avoid wearing coats pre Winter to acclimatise to the changing weather. Fat Face have some perfect cover ups and capes that are high quality and stylish, yet still affordable. When deciding  what new addition to add to my wardrobe I focused on the selection of prints on offer; I currently have plenty of plain knits and coats. The knitted jacquard design appealed to me due to its soft texture, draped front panels and three quarter length sleeves. I’ve been making careful colour choices since my hair change, the blue is easily paired and doesn’t clash.

New Look Burgundy Suedette Scallop Hem Cami (Now £5)

New Look layered necklace (last season)

New Look are always one of my first fashion stop offs when seeking out new T-Shirts and accessories, I must admit I can’t say I am thrilled when I buy a full priced item and then it drops itself into the sale …but hey I can’t complain when it was cheap already! Suedette has been coveted and admired by most and I am no exception to that rule, however most of my pieces were beige- a colour I am trying to steer clear of currently. This berry shade was a lovely Autumnal match to the Fat Face cover up and picks out the muted pink tones in the jacket. The scallop edge of the high neck tee gives the piece character and contrast.

#2#4    ASOS Ridley Skinny Ankle Grazer Jeans in Tyler Wash with Busted Rips £10.50

Some see jeans as boring, but for me personally they are effortless style all year round, and are by no means too casual or lazy. I like to hunt the sales which usually means the W24/25 are gone but I managed to snap these up for just £10.50 which was a big fashion score in my books. However if jeans are a little uninspiring for you then Fat Face have a range of twill coloured jeggings to choose from(I was lucky enough to receive a deep red pair that I will be styling for my Part two post.

#5Primark Ankle boots £15

Whilst knee high boots and pointed flats are swarming my mental wishlists, as soon as I spied these flat suedette boots on Primark’s shelves I was infatuated. They fit perfectly and look cute with dresses, skirts and jeans. The only downside? They get filthy pretty sharpish so make sure you get a shoe protector spray…and spray spray away!!

You can spy Fat Face’s new arrivals here if you are in the mood to start transitioning into Fall mode!

  1. I’m also trying to avoid wearing coats yet and that cover up is perfect and I love the pattern! Unfortunately there isn’t a fat face near me (which is maybe a good thing for my bank balance haha) xxx

  2. We have a local Fat Face store near us but I’ve never went in and was always curious as to what kind of clothes they sold! I love the style of this cardigan and the prices are reasonable too! Definitely re-considering giving them a visit now for my winter wardrobe 😉 x

  3. I have a new Fat Face store that opened by me so I might pop in! Can’t believe that top was only £5, but it’s sold out 😦 The jeans are great though, you always spot the best deals! 🙂
