Despite my compulsive online shopping trips, Forever 21 isn’t a site that I have ever really considered to browse, let alone splurge my earnings. Over time and having read blogs for years now I always see snippets of hauls, cute pieces and people’s fondness for the shop but never really understood the hype. After a week of stress, panic attacks and lack of sleep I found myself checking out the website at 3am and decided to order a few pieces.
In my opinion the site is pretty much like Primark, aside from the fact that of course Primark don’t have an online store, but in terms of prices they are SO reasonable. The quality looks pretty good too for such cheap prices, but I wasn’t sure how they would fare when I came face to face with them after delivery. I ordered with UPS and the order came within 2 days which was SO FAST I wasn’t even expecting it yet considering it was sent standard. I actually have a lot of bug bears with UPS, mainly because they keep leaving my parcels with a shop in my High Street…who are definitely not my neighbours. Aside from delivery woes as soon as I opened my £20 order I was ecstatic!
Here’s what I got:
Ooh La La Pouch £3.50/ Rose Print Paddle Brush £3.00/ Faux Leather J Pouch £4.50/ Slim Checkered Knit Pants £9.99
Who doesn’t love a bit of personalisation? Inside I told myself that I didn’t need anymore make-up bags/ ‘more space for all my crap’ but both pouches were so cute and super cheap. They are both faux leather but the quality really exceeded my expectations, and the ‘J’ pouch has a gorgeous polka dot lining.
The paddle brush again was a small impulse buy but it’s a mood brightening floral design that looks a lot prettier than my plain brushes, and is strong and sturdy.
The purchase I am most happy with is the slim knit pants, I thought they would be miles too big considering I am no where near the 5 foot 9 the model boasts, however the size x small was the perfect length for my frame, and fit live a glove. They rival my American Apparel riding pants I had to sell because they were miles too big. The fabric is thick and of a similar quality, whilst being a comfortable high waisted fit- definitely recommend getting these if you nab them in the sale.
Another bonus of shopping with Forever 21 is that you can get your Unidays Student discount on the sale too, WOOP WOOP! It doesn’t equate to much when you make a small order like me, but ‘every little helps’, and is particularly handy if you are in haul mode like I will be at the weekend!
