That 60’s Chic
Shift dresses, monochrome & flock are commemorative of the ever revived 60’s trend. The mini shift dresses clad with peter pan collars are no long things of the Summer and can be now part of your Autumn essentials. Miss Glam have a gorgeous selection of collared dresses on offer, and making a decision between what was my favourite was tricky. I knew that if I picked some basic colours I would be able to layer (as I usually do), and wear it casual or dressy. The shift dress is flattering for pretty much all body types & the collar has the aw factor.
I just love how shift dresses fit and this one wasn’t too big or oversized. It still gives emphasise on your curves and pinches in at the waist. It will be perfect when the black tights & boots appear (which I can’t see taking very long!)
How I styled the dress:
Despite keeping the accessorising pretty basic I made my choices with much deliberation. I wanted the dress to be the star of the show, and there is a temptation to style monochrome with really bright colours, but sometimes it really isn’t necessary. I love my really high peep toes from Chi Chi they are so feminine & fit right in with the 60’s vibe. I chose my watch because I am obsessed with Rose Gold & think it adds a classy touch to a girly outfit.
Miss Glam has gorgeous collar dresses starting at £4.95 in the sale, you can be sure to pick up a bargain! Despite my dress being just over £15 the quality is great, the dress is really thick which makes it ideal for colder months, and the ‘flock’ velvet design on the dress make’s it feel luxurious. I would definitely recommend checking out the site even if you are on a budget as there’s plenty to choose from at great prices.
